Lusting after...ASOS 50% off sale!

I have a bit of down-time at work today - hurrah for the holiday lull! - enough for me to have thoroughly browsed through ASOS' 50% off sale which just started today. There are so many terrific items that have been reduced and which are still available in a whole range of sizes! I wanted to share my favorites with you all.

First is this cableknit sweater in navy that I've been eyeing since it first appeared on the site. I like both how cozy it looks, and how petite-friendly the length appears to be - this sweater appears to truly be cut short. It is currently retailing for $29.09, down from $63.63, and is still available in all sizes excluding size 1.

It doesn't look like colored jeans are a trend that are going to be dying any time soon (at least, I hope not, because I'm still obsessed)! Several bloggers have reviewed ASOS' version of the colored jean (see on Kelly of Alterations Needed and Kileen of Cute and Little) and they seem to be a good, petite-friendly option. They're currently available in a whole slew of sizes and colors (see in green here and in purple here), but my particular favorite is this teal option down from $58.18 to $32.72. These are still available in size 1!

This is a dress that I blogged about before as a wonderful option for a holiday party. Although it may be slightly too late for you to wear it as such, it's still such a lovely little number that I couldn't help but include it again - especially since it's forty dollars cheaper than it used to be, at $32.72!

Lastly, I'm absolutely loving this blue-checked cape, and not just because it's on sale for 65.45 from $145.44 (although that's a pretty great reason to love it all on its own)! I've been looking for a good cape/poncho to add to my outerwear collection, and I'm liking this wool-blend one. It has a pretty pattern, but is still neutral enough to wear with mostly anything.

Has anything in particular caught your eye from the ASOS sale? Are you a fan of the site? I love the style of their items; even though I find that the quality and fit can sometimes vary greatly, it's still a wonderful option for a petite woman. What's your opinion?

  1. I just ordered some stuff from ASOS and then they had to have this sale!  I'm trying to put off not looking around the site but knowing me, I'll give in.  I LOVE the cape, so cute, I really  might have to get that!

  3. I hate when that happens - I'm always so tempted to do a price adjustment in that scenario, but I'm not sure if ASOS is good about those? And I totally agree, the cape is definitely my favorite item. I think it's the one I most want to order!

  4. Sales are the best/worst thing ever, haha! Best because you can score such great bargains, but the worst because you just end up buying loads of things that you didn't even think you wanted and/or needed! Like how I'm seriously considering buying most of the items on this list...

  15. So am I! They have such a great variety of stuff, and they're always getting new items. It's my go-to site when I'm bored at work, haha. Which sequined dress did you order? I was looking at a few ASOS ones for NYE!

  16. Hey. Im 4'9 and i have your similar measurements to you. I was thinking about ordering some stuff from ASOS but i was wondering about the length of their dresses, jumpsuits etc. What is your opinion on the length of their petite clothing

  17. Hey there! That's a really good question. My experience with ASOS has taught me that their stuff can be very hit or miss - the sizing isn't always consistent, and I have had to return several items (namely, the Tailored Pencil Dress that a lot of petite bloggers had success with) because they were too long. However! Their size 0/1 fits, on average, smaller than an H&M size 2, and since it's specifically tailored for petite women, the waist usually tends to hit higher, too - which means the only additional tailoring that's usually needed is a quick hem job.

As for the length of their dresses, it's a little tedious because not all of their items state how long they are. If you don't want to chance having to return anything (although there *is* free shipping both ways!) I know from personal experience that their 32.5' dresses hit me about mid-thigh/right above the knee (see: http://pocketsizedfashion.blogspot.com/2011/10/neutral-hues-and-red-shoes.html). Hopefully that can work as a good starting point for you?
