Lusting after...Versace for H&M

I've always found it difficult to find high-end designer items that fit - leaving aside the fact that said designer items usually tend to be far beyond my price point anyway, I'm additionally deterred from buying anything due to the extensive alterations I'll inevitably have to do ($250 for a button-down is steep enough - I don't need to tack onto that price tag with sleeve-shortening and side-slimming!).

But that's exactly why the new Versace for H&M collaboration has got me oh so excited. It's Versace! It's (somewhat) affordable! And, here's the kicker, if it's sized even remotely according to H&M's standard, it might actually be petite-friendly

After browsing through Vogue's gallery, I've come up with several items that I'm definitely going to have to nab. First is this beautiful black silk dress that's going to retail for $79.99. Amazing! I love the slit-sleeve detailing...and you can never go wrong with adding another LBD to your wardrobe, right?

There's also this leather jacket, which will retail for $149.99. The studs at the hem give it such a tough vibe.
The best thing about the collection, though, is how beautifully vibrant most of the items are. This yellow shift dress, for example, would look gorgeous paired with some neutral pumps and cardigan.
The accessories are similarly colorful - I'm loving this silk scarf ($24.99). So tropical, and a perfect way to add some brightness to your winter wardrobe. The belts and jewelry featured are also gorgeous...I can't pick any single one to post, because I want them all!
Although the collection is priced higher than H&M's standard fare, I'm hoping that the quality will be worth it.What do you all think? Any items you're particularly in love with? Fingers crossed that they fit us pocket-sized girls!

  1. Isn't it?! I am completely in love with the tailoring and details! I hope it looks as luxe in person as it does in these photos.

  3. Haha, agreed! It's going to be really tough choosing just a handful to purchase when November 17th rolls around.

  5. Oh god, I don't even want to think about them! I was talking to my friend about when Lanvin for H&M was released, and how people camped overnight (I wasn't in NYC to witness the frenzy). I'm just hoping I can score at least a few items before they're all sold out...

  6. I actually find designer clothes to fit much smaller than mainstream retail clothes...nonetheless, I can't wait for this collection even though I don't anticipate getting anything. It's just too glam for me, can't wait to see what you end up with! :)

  7. I think it depends on the designer, maybe! I've tried Marc Jacobs and Michael Kors items on, and I absolutely swim in them...which is so depressing, because I adore both.

And you're right, it IS pretty glam! But I'm so in love...
